Privacy Policy

How Sightimate handles data and the terms for using it.

Last updated: October 17, 2026. Pre-launch version, not yet reviewed by a lawyer. Sightimate is run by its founder until the operating company is formed; its name and registered address will be added here then.

Who we are

Sightimate is a pre-launch service run by its founder ("we") until the operating company is formed; the company's name and registered address will be added here then. It is a measuring service for contractors: a contractor sends a link, their customer captures an opening (a door, window or gate) with a phone browser, and the contractor measures it in their Sightimate dashboard. We decide how contractor account data is used. Customer captures are processed on behalf of the contractor who sent the link.

What we collect

From contractors: the name and e-mail address used to sign in, the business details entered during setup (business name, trade, phone number and an optional address), notification preferences, and customer cards with a name and, optionally, a phone number, e-mail address and notes. If you buy a plan, our payment provider Lemon Squeezy collects your billing name, e-mail address, country and card details; we receive only the status, amounts and dates of orders, subscriptions and invoices, never card details.

From customers who open a scan link: the photos and short video frames they capture, motion-sensor readings recorded during the short calibration sweep, and basic technical details such as the browser, device type and screen orientation, which the contractor may see with the capture to judge its quality. Customers do not create an account, and the capture page does not ask for their name or contact details. On the public website we count page views per language without cookies or identifiers, and not at all when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. If you use the contact form, we receive your name, e-mail address and message.

How we use it

To run the service: to sign contractors in, to create scan links, to turn captures into a 3D scene and measurements, and to show the results only to the contractor who sent the link; to manage plans, credits and payments; and to send service e-mails (the scan updates you choose, and billing and credit notices, which you can switch off in Settings). We answer contact-form messages by e-mail. Our administrators can view accounts, scans and their processing records to provide support and fix problems; customer contact details are partly masked there, and every such view is logged. We do not sell personal data, show advertising, or use captures to train models for anyone else.

How long we keep it

An unused scan link expires seven days after it is created. The original capture frames are deleted 30 days after the last upload; the processed scene, the photos it needs and the contractor's saved measurements stay with the contractor's account until it is deleted. A contractor can delete a customer card at any time, and can delete the account in Settings: deletion takes effect after a 7-day grace period. Payment events and the credit ledger are kept to account for charges; after an account is deleted they are kept without a name or contact details for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Contact-form messages are kept in our administration panel until we delete them, and a copy is forwarded to our mailbox.

Service providers

Sightimate runs on Cloudflare (hosting, database, file storage, e-mail sending and the Turnstile spam check on the contact form). Sign-in is provided by WorkOS. Captures are processed on a dedicated inference endpoint at Hugging Face. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record: it sells the subscription, charges your card, handles tax and sends receipts. These providers process data only to deliver their part of the service, and some of them process it outside your country: Cloudflare on its global network, WorkOS and Lemon Squeezy in the United States, and the inference endpoint in the European Union (Ireland).

Cookies and local storage

We use a session cookie to keep contractors signed in, and the browser's local storage for preferences such as the colour theme and whether a tutorial has been seen. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, including under the EU GDPR and Turkey's personal data protection law (KVKK), you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and you can complain to your data protection authority. Contractors can change their business details in Settings, download an export of their data and delete their account in Settings → Account. Customers who want a capture removed can ask the contractor who sent them the link, or contact us.
